RFL claim no formal offer to buy Bulls
Bradford Bulls Friday 20 Jul 2012 10:07pm
The Rugby Football League has claimed tonight that no formal offer had been made for the club.
This conflicts with a statement issued by Brendan Guilfoyle yesterday, in which he confirmed he had received a bid from the ABC consortium.
A spokesman for the governing body said: "The RFL today held constructive talks with the administrator of Bradford Bulls at a meeting in Leeds and remain in dialogue with him over the future of the club.
"The administrator informed the RFL that he has not yet received a formal written offer for Bradford Bulls from any interested party but remains hopeful of an offer from would-be investors."
Guilfoyle was tonight unavailable for comment.
It has also emerged, that the meeting to announce the points deduction to be handed out to the Bulls, was delayed by the RFL.
