Tigers 19-man squad v Featherstone

Castleford Tigers Thursday 12 Apr 2012 2:48pm

Castleford Tigers head coach Ian Millward has named eight returning players his 19-man squad for Saturday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup 4th round tie at Featherstone.

Alongside prop forward Craig Huby, returning to the squad are Man of Steel Rangi Chase, club captain Danny Orr, full back Richard Owen, winger Nick Youngquest, and fellow props Grant Millington and Nathan Massey.

Making way for the returning players are hooker Ryan Hudson, back rows Lee Mitchell, James Grehan & John Davies, prop Steve Nash, winger Josh Atkinson, plus James Clare and Ben Johnson who both were non-playing members of Monday’s squad.

Jordan Thompson and Adam Milner, retain their places having impressed against St Helens on Monday.

On naming his squad, head coach Ian Millward said:

“It’s a knock out game so no one is going to worry about for or against. It’s all about what happens on the day. The environment will be intense; a great atmosphere which is fantastic for the players. It will be interesting to see which team handles it the best.

“It is a big game, but our main focus is about getting through to the next round of the Challenge Cup. I’m very confident if we put our best foot forward then we can achieve that.â€
