RE: Leeds 2016 - chesterhino - 08-23-2016 03:45 PM

He's had a shocker of a season both form and injury wise.

Wouldn't bother bringing him back now, send him on his jollies

RE: Leeds 2016 - camdentiger - 08-23-2016 04:08 PM

Surely Leeds will be looking to offload, he's well past his best and very in jury prone

Can't see it Camden, GH will hide behind the flood/injuries as the reason for this season.

Put my house on it

You will miss Maguire more than you think. Loads at the Giants were saying similar about robbo- past his best, get rid etc- boy have we missed him this year. Like robbo you will miss his leadership skills, and the fact he brings together the different friendship groups on the field. You will miss him clapping his hands and saying come on lads.....

Course u'll get over him moving on/out, we did with Briers, all depends on his replacement. No reason why he can't stay at the club in some capacity. Yano, team bonding, clapping and saying come on, getting people to make friends etc. Never rated him as such, a good player playing with some brilliant players, u never know, can perhaps do some tripping of players from the sidelines too.

RE: Leeds 2016 - captain tripps - 08-24-2016 03:41 PM

I rate him as one of the best support players we ever had,in his heyday if someone broke the line you could guarantee he would be along side waiting for the pass.

RE: Leeds 2016 - buggritt - 08-24-2016 04:17 PM

Are we discussing Super League's all time top try scorer? Man of the match last season in the Grand Final - by a country mile?
Naturally you don't rate him. You've only been following RL since Warrington bought a half decent team.
Offload him - for fuck's sake.

Man of the match awards are given on sentiment. He's a good player, made better by playing in a good team. Put him in a hudds shirt and he wouldn't have all those acculades.

I suppose hes a bit of a sinfield, oppo fans never rated him either.

Would you say the same re briers since he played for "it's always our year" Warrington
