He's looked pretty similar when I've seen him play so far on tv to be honest.
His tackling is not up to scratch for your big minute hooker.

Think youre talking bollocks to be honest Jools

He puts in massive hits on players twice his size

agreed, hes been great in defence since he joined. look at how leeds have improved since he came, its not a coincidence

You've improved- but TBH there was only one way to go.
sure he runs out of the line and sometimes puts a hit on- but he also misses crucial tackles in a crucial part of the field. he would be a great run on hooker his asset is his speed and agility - bring him on when he's fresh against tiring defences get a Clark/houghton type for the hard graft.

Trin -shhhhhh the grown ups are talking.

I've never seen a hooker be pinged for so many forward passes straight from DH.
These are basic skills a hooker needs to have.

its staggering how many people make this mistake - the ball from the hooker wants to be as flat as possible, its the forwards who are overrunning the play rather than the hookers fault

He only missed 8 tackles in Leeds last league games

Youre clearely just making this "he cant tackle" point up

Leeds 2016 - jools - 09-20-2016 01:02 PM

No- I'm not "making it up" he missed 7 tackles against hudds- so either he's injured or he has a poor attitude the likes of Leeds are safe can't be arsed? Don't clubs get more money the higher they finish.....
So what you are saying is the players are overrunning the ball- even though they weren't doing so before he came and they don't do it when burrow is at DH. Hmmmm.
he's missed 30 tackles and made 291 in 9 games according to the opta stats. 90% isn't a terrible stat and better than many- but it's not top class. He's also made 13 errors in that time.

Alright jools we get it you don't like him. He must have pissed on your pet or somet.

Leeds fans love him, he's been great for us since joining and he's only gonna get better. End of story.

Fuck off!

We got shot of McFatty because of his defence!

Seg did look off the boil against shudds though

From what I've seen, McShane's defence has been pretty decent since he's been with us
