I hope we can get another 3 results, looks like wakey have done enough & then there's Widnes who aren't doing it atm. Any of the current bottom 6 could finish mid 8 I reckon.

Leeds next 4 games are possible wins imo then you just never know. The only problem being Leeds haven't looked like wanting to push on & win games for each other. Leeds lose next couple of games then I think they are definitely middle 8s. I really hope we don't get pulled down into mid 8s as I think they will be horrible to get out of this season.

Will take more than three wins- it also means another team has to have a similarly dreadful run of form to the one Leeds are having now. Hudds have started to perform but I still don't think we will make the 8.

Exactly, we need every other between us and the top six to screw up.

Not going to happen

From the yep.
When asked what needed to be done to arrest his team’s startling slump, McDermott added: “We need to keep fighting and keep swinging away, coming in and trying to fix things up.”

Well that solves that conundrum then.

It still sounds like bm thinks it will just come right if they keep going as they are? He's not gonna give much away but talking in cliches & not being a bit more specific about areas for improvement he isn't gonna gain much confidence. "Defensive integrity" and "a position to be competitive" are terrible cop out lines imo, then again loads of coaches now talk in this almost robotic manner, they're coaches not business managers.

What gets said to media and dressing room are different things though. Think some have given up and are waiting for middle 8s while others are waiting for someone else to do the hard work

Wouldnt say no whoto, but hetherington likes to brag about having an english coach.

There is absolutely zero chance of us making the 8 and has been for a few weeks!

Zero chance of making the top 8 ......agreed. Felt the same way for some time.
Maybe time to bring someone in to work alongside Brian McD and freshen things up.
Its all about sticking with what we have and seeking improvement ........Things can only get better ....I hope!
