RE: Froch v Groves - Cheese - 11-24-2013 04:02 PM

there are better at this weight too.

groves is young, he doesnt need another fight with froch.

RE: Froch v Groves - whotobeA - 11-24-2013 04:20 PM

Groves has improved his stock with this fight but in the us where let's face it all the action is he's still just the bloke who lost to froch. No mistake froch has more chance of fighting ward than groves has just the way of the game. Froch certainly doesn't need to fight groves again just cos the British public want another good domestic tear up to mid rnds.

If groves learns a bit of pacing & gets his stamina up a bit he might be able to mix it at the top but he'd shot his bolt by the 7th. Can only see similar happening again. Froch has the options of a 3rd with Kessler or 2nds with bute or ward.

RE: Froch v Groves - Cheese - 11-24-2013 04:24 PM

there isnt a lot of brass in those fights for froch though, certainly not against bute...kessler maybe a bit more and less for ward.

groves is on the upslope.

If its in the u.s it will be more money.

RE: Froch v Groves - Cheese - 11-24-2013 04:29 PM

i dont see ward or froch as big draws to be honest.

RE: Froch v Groves - whotobeA - 11-24-2013 04:29 PM

Ward v froch 2 for the world straps would generate much more coin than another froch v groves domestic level where groves bring nowt to the table. That said froch is still 2nd best to ward. I wouldn't blame froch for dropping groves like a stone.

This time next year degale could have the wbc belt, froch still with his and some big money for those 3.

RE: Froch v Groves - Cheese - 11-24-2013 04:35 PM

this time next year degale might be the only one of the 3 with a world title.

RE: Froch v Groves - whotobeA - 11-24-2013 04:42 PM

Be an interesting yr. froch has already secured his legacy IMO, degale still has a lot to do & groves could still go either way IMO. Think I'd like to see degale get a chance against somebody & maybe groves getting a chance against a Kessler or bute with froch taking ward.
