So he loses the strap, froch still has a great legacy, fought the best at the weight, held the straps etc, what fight is groves defined by? & yet groves is still trying to call the shots.

Froch never got his shot at calzaghe who retired younger than froch is now. I'd personally like to see him try again at ward, probably losing but ending on the very top not in some domestic British brawl against somebody that's achieved nowt.

Think Froch will have more pulling power if he is able to show he can take on Groves and win out right. Then off to yanky panky land and then off into the sun set.

Enzo maccarrinelli has got a fight with jurgan braehmer for the wba light heavyweight title. Fuck knows how he got that.

Scheduled for april 5th in germany.

Looks like 2014 will not be the year for kell brook. Maybe 2015?

Hmmmm. Eddie Hearn talking about a £5 million offer to amir khan to fight kell brook.

Khan reportedly only getting £3.5 million if he gets mayweather.

Its not a concrete offer as yet.

Brook needs to be more active tbf. Plenty of fights at the weight for him.

RE: Knocking One Out - Cheese - 02-05-2014 10:11 PM

cant understand why he isnt...

RE: Knocking One Out - drsrhino - 02-05-2014 10:26 PM

Brook has never really been an active fighter. He has had injury problems too. He is a bit like calzaghe, won't fight unless 100%.

Problem brook has is that he has the rep in america as being unreliable due to him pulling out twice vs alexander. His next problem is that shawn porter beat alexander and alexander wants to exercise his right to a rematch. That looks likely to happen may/june time. If porter wins he has promised to fight someone else in his 'stable' (cant remember the lads name) which rules out 2014 for brook. If alexander wins then brook may get a shot at the end of the year.

The 'experts' cant see porter losing to alexander and brook needs the ringtime with no viable opponents left out there which is forcing hearn to put his hand in his pocket to try and draw khan out.

Like I say, not exactly set in stone but he wants british boxing fans to vote for Maidana with the promise of a khan vs brook showdown this spring/summer to the tune of £5 million.

Dellian Whyte is back in october this year. W . Klitschko camp think he will be the next heavyweight world champ.

Rendall Munroe insists he has no plans to retire for a second time despite losing to Lee Selby in the their European featherweight title fight.

He should knock it on the head imo.

Brendan Ingle has had a stroke.

My favourite trainer.

Hope he recovers and returns to the gym as soon as possible.
