Crolla probably out of his fight for the world title.

Apparently he was burgled and he has a head injury and a possible broken ankle. I am hearing he is hospitalised.

Disgraceful. How many boxers have been attacked this year?

British heavyweight contender Tyson Fury will risk his status as a mandatory challenger for world champion Wladimir Klitschko by fighting Feb. 28 at the O2 Arena in London, promoter Frank Warren announced Wednesday.

Fury does not have an opponent yet for the headline fight on the card -- Warren promised "a top 15-ranked contender" -- but because the mandatory world title bout will not take place until at least next summer, he wanted to remain active.

The 26-year-old Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) is coming off a superb performance in a 10th-round knockout in a one-sided destruction of countryman Dereck Chisora in their rematch Nov. 29 in London. The fight was the final eliminator to produce one of Klitschko's mandatory challengers. In addition, Fury also won the European title and vacant British title.

Klitschko (63-3, 54 KOs) is slated to make his 18th title defense April 25 (HBO), likely against American Bryant Jennings (19-0, 10 KOs) in New York. The winner of that fight likely would face Fury later in the year in the mandatory defense.

Yep. He needs another fight after so long out of the ring. It will be risk averse.

------

Truly awful at this stage, the division is as weak as ever, fury should be looking top 5 with the big one after now. Hw scene is dead.

top 15? lol

gotta be some shockers in that list

Im hearing Christian Hammer.

Whoto, why fight someone who can potentially beat you and knock you off the mandatory position? The title fight is where the money is. Another warm up is a good idea since he has been so inactive over the last 2 or 3 years.

Amir Khan already ducking out of a Kell Brook fight it seems. First he wanted Brook to win a world title, now its that he isn't a big name in the USA. I hope khan gets the mayweather fight and if he loses calls out brook. It would be nice for brook to tell him to go and prove himself first .

khans right to avoid him right now though, hes had some losses and another, against a domestic would likely put him out of contention for the biggest prizes.

it will happen one day, brook should continue the way hes going.
