Rjj was after benn and eubank though. Galvano was wbc champion so i dont know where you get euro level from. De witt was also world title holder and considered a top rung american fighter. Im just trying to say that its a myth about the brits from that era didnt travel, nigel benn did go to the u.s.a after the watson fight and fought his way up to a world title which isnt easy to do. When he lost to eubank he went on the road again and won the most prestigious of belts away in italy when he had to knock the guy out to win the fight. Benn doesnt get the credit he deserves for taking himself off and getting titles in other peoples back yards.

De Witt was never considered more than decent & lost every fight to decent opponents, who is Galvano? Just because they have an abc strap does not realistically put them in the world class bracket, that is the comedy nonsense created by abc straps. Some very poor fighter held & hold straps.

Benn, Eubank & Watson famously did not travel to the biggest fights & Benn 90% of the time only travelling for hand picked fights with Eubank & Watson never meaningfully travelling at all. Benn gets vast amounts of credit which hides the fact he didn't get the biggest fights & trying to pad it out by saying he got straps in backyards does nothing to hide that fact. RJJ was on PPV in 92, taking the likes of Hopkins & Toney by 94 & Mike Mcallum at a canter by 96. Benn was still fighting in 96, Eubank in 98 yet none of these fights were on the radar.

As said already they get lots of credit & had some great battles but they did not travel to the biggest fights possible as Froch has done.

the lower ranking fights they had were still better that the best froch has had, or even will have.

lol. Eubank, Benn & Watons lower ranking fights were better than Pascal, Jermaine Taylor, Kessler, Glen Johnson, Andre Ward etc?? Ward already looks as good as anybody they faced tbh. They were in a better era yes, but thats stretching it a little imo.

benn vs eubank ? better than anything froch has dished up,. yes.

benn vs mcclellan

benn vs watson.

all better than any froch fight, and there are probably a half dozen more too.

sure ward is as good, and kessler too , its froch who is letting the side down.

Ok cheese, we get it...you dont like froch!!

You appear to be getting yourself tied up in knots cheese old lad! Are they not their best fights?

Apart from them fights they had little else to show of great substance tbh. And that doesn't alter the fact they never faced the best possible or travelled. Froch is the only one prepared to travel & fight the best.

Froch v Pascal 4/5 rs ago wasn't a mile off them fights tbh & the super 6 has shown a greater all round ability than Benn, Eubank & Watson who have their place with the great fights which hide the bigger picture.

i have seen one fight maybe where froch showed what he had, against kessler and he lost. the rest havent been impressive for me.
