RE: OFFICIAL - 2012 Leeds Rhinos squad - chesterhino - 01-01-2012 07:46 PM dont worry we hear it every year from these 2 muppets about leeds demise, think weve had it for the past 3 seasons......and last season we made it to every final, we will be in one of the 3 finals this season too. they seem to think that leeds finishing 5th is a decline, when infact it means sweet FA when you can do the business in the playoffs. not bad for the zimmer frame elect. RE: OFFICIAL - 2012 Leeds Rhinos squad - adam-rhinos - 01-01-2012 09:17 PM I think your wrong, I think we have vastly strengthened. Richard Moore looked to show strength in his first appearance in the Boxing day game, and was IMO the best player on the pitch. Zak Hardaker and Kallum Watkins get a full pre season together to learn each others game more. I also think that with Webb, Jones-Bishop, Watkins, Hall in our back line, we have the fastest back line in superleague. McShane and Hood showed excellence in there performance boxing day, Hood was the best out of the two. Clarksons game just gets better and better. Griffin looks good, and is much better than either of Cross and Burgess. In fact we have strengthened in the whole props are... I would much prefer Griffin and Moore in my squad than Cross and Burgess. We have McGuire and Peacock from the beginning of the season whereas last season they came in half way through. We have lost old and injury prone players in Senior and Lauitiiti and replaced them with young and up and coming players. And we still have money to spend on the cap. OFFICIAL - 2012 Leeds Rhinos squad - jools - 01-01-2012 09:23 PM Fastest back line inluding Webb? Crabtree managed to chase him down last season! I agree with you that for the reasons outlined we are much stronger than last year. Do you anticipate GH spending the cap money on a new quality player when he visits Aus and NZ this month? RE: OFFICIAL - 2012 Leeds Rhinos squad - Trinity_13 - 01-01-2012 09:54 PM Jester. . . . do you want me t drag your quotes from last season up again. . . . . or have you deleted them all. . . . . poor team. . . . poor management. . . . your words. . . . . liar boy. . . . . pmsl roflmcoajtrm. . . . . Adam. . . . you have just let yourself down. . . . usually you seem so rounded and sensible. . . . then you go and spoil yourself by basing all your opinions on a pre season runabout on the beach. . . . . you dont need me to tell you moore is poor. . . or griffin ordinary. . . . when did mcfatty inherit some ability. . . .and fastest back line?. . . . that wont matter unless dan marino puts his arms on the right way. . . . . To win the gf from 5th was impressive. . . .a freak but impressive all the same. . . . it wont happen again. . . . . RE: OFFICIAL - 2012 Leeds Rhinos squad - jambotherhino - 01-02-2012 12:10 AM Can't believe people are saying our squad is old! We have BJB, Watkins, Hardaker, Hall, McShane, Ablett, Clarkson, L Smith, Kirke, Hood, Singleton, Ambler, Chisholm who are all going to be in/around the first team next season and the seasons after that. They're all young and I'd say have all have AT LEAST 7-10 seasons left in them. And then in the next few years as we lose Peacock, Leuluai, Sinfield, Webb and then Burrow and McGuire, the Leeds academy will be there to produce the next greats of this club. We have a great future ahead of us and there are definitely older squads in this league! ".......but having seen alot of Sam I can,t think of a SL team who would,nt find a place in their best 17 for him......... I await the "he wouldn,t get in our team" comments from the luvvies".....but deep down even the thickest of them realise I am right......(again)........ " PMSL RE: OFFICIAL - 2012 Leeds Rhinos squad - Trinity_13 - 01-02-2012 09:27 AM Oh dear jester...............I didn,t think you would bring up previous quotes..................but.................I,ve got all day...................so lets get started............ "i dont think many leeds fans expected us to contest a final this season, so for me its been a good season,we also have a good run in, cas @home, quins away, wakey@home and hudds away, so 5th is still a possibility." "bicester, i see what your saying, but the squad weve got, you cant be ambitious!!this season has obviously shown hetherington that changes need to be made. with the signings wire and wigan made you can be ambitious.... signing lima, finch and hoffman is ambitious!" "the guy is clueless.Last year we had a particularly memorable Media nugget from McDermott. quins were beaten 40-4 by Huddersfield in a truly shite performance, including a Completion rate of 27%!!!. McDermott said after the game 'we didn't do a lot wrong' ahahaha!!! seriosuly though...mr hethrington, bite the bullet and dont give him aslong as you gave dean lance!" "rumour has it that it could be ellis from harlequins, i think that would be a great signing." What about some these thoughts on the Richie pmsl Moore signing....... "makes sense, hes 30, in his prime, he can still improve, especially playing in a pack such as leeds's.no offence to wakey and crusaders but hes been playing in average packs." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another even better Moore quote here..... "there is no way hethrington would re-sign him, he was sacked for off the field stuff, mainly due to drink." Now jester................how many times do I have to tell you..........I have no embarrassment over my Sam Obst comments.............he was...........and still is...........a very good player...........and I wish Wakey had signed him..............I stand by every one of my comments..........no backtracking.............no deleting.............no running to the mods.............. When we have finished with this we can start on your compulsive lying...............roflmcoajtnnt................. |
