Taking shape now. Looking at it, it does make me wonder how we cannot do this on the west terrace!

I'm keen to see these developments when they are completed. Well done to the Wakefield club for making some progress with their tired old ground, while they wait to get a new stadium (if that ever happens!). And yes it does look like something we could do with the West Terrace, but I doubt that will ever happen to be honest.

I reckon that it's all an optical illusion to fool the RFL into thinking that Wakey are making good on their stadium committments. Bitter??? Me???????????

Personally I think we would be able to do it, and, as much as i want a new south stand, I would much prefer the away end to get a roof like this.. yes it might take abit of our capacity off to straighten out the stand, but imo it would be worth it in the long haul.

I tend to agree, especially now that we have opened up the full length of the South Stand again. A roof over the West Terrace would be a good development if the club would commit to doing it.

adam, the western terrace is twice as big as that stand depth wise...wouldnt that mean that the roof would have to be twice as big....i can see eveyrone of the people in the houses beind the western terrace objecting to a roof....

Yeah thats the reason why they cant do it, would block the light going to the houses behind
They tried buying the houses but they wouldnt sell

that doesnt look impressive at all to me.
there r pubs here in beni with terraces more impressive than that.

I agree, also surely suggests that any new ground is currently a pipe dream or why spend to build a stand which will be knocked down soon?
