RE: Batley beat fev
Chuffed for Batley. Always liked going down Mount Pleasant. I have some good memories there - although they often hammered us. Barry Eaton and Sean Richardson used to be a right thorn in our side.

never have been, never will be. small club batting well above their weight due to the champ having not enough competition. When 4 drop out in to champ1 and two come down from SL they will find points a LOT harder to come by.

What signalled to me they were not SL potential was a few seasons back Widnes and Leigh and Fax started making proper preperations both off the field in stadia improvments and playing and coaching staff all Fev did was hoover up all the players that still wanted to be part-timers oh and they got a shitty old stand from bankrupt scarborough united their gate is decent for the size of the area but they have very little scope to increase it and 1.5 - 2k isn't enough to keep a SL club afloat not without a serious cash rich sense poor backer *cough cough* Kookymonster

Plus if you believe the rumourmill all is not well amongst the lads at Fev. Certain folk are less than happy with DPs replacement for next year. Seems there not overly confident in a youth development coach making the leap to first grade head coach.
