RE: Planning application
Not sure what the timescales are for building etc but if they start sharpish I'd imagine they could nearly be ready for early next season.

Been going darn t lane for nearly 30 seasons & it will be hard leaving but to move forward we need this new ground to happen.

I would have thought 2017 season is probably more realistic. Can they go straight into building the ground or do they need to do retail units first to fund it?

Salford aren't upto the cap are they?

In fairness I reckon the sale of wr will cover futons fund & the extra 2/3k seats that can be built into the corners of the new ground.

Who's going to buy it? Supermarket bid gone out the window with the new ground. And with b&q being a much better bet. Housing isn't a goer as no one will pay much to live there. There's a plethora of land for light industrial better located in normanton cutsyke glasshouton. It's just not appealing to a developer. At least not at the money you would want for it. Maybe local authority might have a use for it but they won't pay much.

RE: Planning application
I would imagine housing would be a goer tbf. The last unit I worked in at kippax was raised to the ground for new housing, it was a tiny little piece of land but got about 20 houses on, they paid over a million for that & kippax isn't brilliant tbf. With the ground & training ground you could get a decent new mini estate on there with a mix of detached, semis & town houses which would easily sell to the traditional casites.walking distance to cas centre & nicer places like fairburn, I think there's coin to be made from wr.
