That'd just confuse them, Centre GI, FB GI or Stand off GI? They can't be three people at once, I mean, just look at what's happened to Ratchford, poor soul

O'Brien, Westwood, PENNY renew.

Sky Sports Wrote:Gareth O’Brien has signed a new deal with Warrington after changing his mind about a possible move to Bradford Bulls in mid-season.

The 22-year-old half-back was set to join relegated Bradford after growing frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities, despite being under contract until the end of 2015.

But his decision to stay and fight for a place has paid off, with the youngster being handed a longer contract until 2016 after appearing in 13 of the last 14 matches of the season.

"I'm really happy to be staying at my home-town club," said O'Brien, who has been loaned out to Castleford and St Helens and played on dual-registration for Swinton since making his Warrington debut in 2011.

"I'm looking forward to starting next season how I finished the last and I can't wait to get started again."

Warrington head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said: "Gareth has come through the ranks and is maturing into a top-class Super League player.

"We have seen, against top-class opposition, his ability and what he can offer the team. He will continue to be part of the group of players who are challenging for the half-back positions, which is healthy and brings out the best in each player."

Second rower Ben Westwood, who was co-captain this year, has also signed a new two-year deal, while winger Kevin Penny has taken up an option for 2015.

Westwood has made 333 appearances for the Wolves since joining them from Wakefield in 2002 and played his part in the club's three Challenge Cup final successes.

"I am happy that Bennie has extended his stay," Smith said. "He's been one of our most consistent performers for a number of years now.

"He's wholehearted and is still producing some of those tireless performances. He had a little bit of injury this year but he is still one of our high performers week in, week out. I look forward to working with Ben once again."

"It's the worst signature I've seen. Its mix of homoerotic eulogising and pseudo-philosophical shite makes me sick. Since Hank has had this sig, SLF has gone down the toilet. I hate him. I can't stress that enough. I hope he gets banned." - Kevin Sinfield

"Yeah, I'll have all that money for one more year, then I'll come out of retirement and sign for Swinton."

Sound business from the guy, to be fair.
