Fax v hudds infirmary cup
8am shovelling ensured he game went ahead on a very poor quality pitch. (Fax should have got it done yesterday!) A bad tempered affair that had 4 mass brawls and four yellow cards, 2 for each side. Fax were out to spoil and hudds responded by getting frustrated as they wanted to get on with the only pre-season game they have. Unsurprisingly McBrough was the first of the giants to vent his frustration and get 10 minutes.
Was great to see Jamie Ellis run the show in mcbroughs absence so we hardly realised cavebrow had gone apart from a missed conversion. Later Jake Connor showed Richard Moore he wasn't going to be pushed around got a yellow (and put in some great uppercuts.)
Jack Hughes was a real handful, and what pace. erm Larne who????
Huby didn't really stand out, which was a shame as he was the one I thought would make most difference to the Giants side.
It finished 6-38 to hudds
Halifax don't look like they are going to make the middle eight, enthusiasm and hard work but few ideas.
Huddersfield don't look they are going to be troubling anyone either. Think they got their hands on the only silverware they have a sniff of this afternoon.

Not sure you can draw such conclusions on the back of a pre season friendly... This is a brand new team and a brand new coach playin only their second game together. The first being a tonking of Hull KR. These preseason friendlies dont mean all that much... We'll be up there with the top 4

Why rhino - a quick look at the weather forecast would have told them it would be the better option. The mud would have dried out
