Exactly cheese- they don't all put the job first! They may have extended family who need them at home, kids they don't want to uproot or other halves who's own careers could be compromised- after all when they retire their missus may be the main breadwinner for a while!

Clarke struggled his first season at wire as he got so homesick & hated leaving cas on th 62. I think he's just got his head round travelling an hour down the road so t other side of the world would've been too much I expect.
