Wigan 2016
I'd take a punt on mossop. When he came to us on loan he fitted in well. If he can recapture earlier form he could be a shrewd signing. I get the feeling he won't like wanes "style" he's got a bit of something about him.

A few years ago Mossop looked like one of the more promising English forwards but picked up a couple of shoulder injuries and just never seemed the same player since. After coming back from the NRL he's been poor and no doubt on a much bigger contract than his performances would merit.

While he can occasionally make some powerful runs his effectiveness is diminished because his play the ball is often slow. His handling isn't great which is an issue given the style Wigan play. He doesn't really possess an offload so all he's got to offer is a strong carry. His defence is also suspect. He was getting caught out defensively quite often this year.

Perhaps it will work for him somewhere else but I can't say I'd be disappointed to see him go. We've had a poor run with the players we re-sign. Mossop, Thornley, Joel and Sam Tomkins have all offered very little return.

mossop has been a big disapointment since he came back, not had it since the shoulder problems.

Crosby to Wire now confirmed. Disappointed for him to leave although I can understand it. We've got lots of competition for places at prop whereas at Wire have less depth so his value to them would be higher than his value to Wigan. Still, he's only 25 so has plenty of years ahead of him and it could be a move we regret in the long run.

I'd rather have got shot of Mossop than Crosby if I were a Wigan fan
