Tigers v Mogs
Powell makes one change to his last 19 man squad who just fell short against Warrington in their last Super 8s encounter. Frankie Mariano sustained a rib injury that has ended his season, while Jake Webster returns to full fitness to take his place.

Speaking earlier today Powell said: “So far in the Super 8s we have taken on the top 3 teams and been ultra competitive in every one of those games, winning two and losing out in the most frustrating of circumstances in the last one. We weren’t quite at our attacking best against Warrington but the durability of the team is building all the time, particularly in our defensive game which has been most pleasing.”

Castleford Tigers 19 man squad v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats – 02.09.16

35. Rangi Chase
16. Matt Cook
19. Ben Crooks
1. Luke Dorn
34. Paddy Flynn
7. Luke Gale
18. Ryan Hampshire
11. Oliver Holmes
23. Will Maher
15. Paul McShane
10. Grant Millington
9. Adam Milner
24. Greg Minikin
17. Junior Moors
32. Larne Patrick
36. Andre Savelio
5. Denny Solomona
22. Gadwin Springer
3. Jake Webster

I would hope that this will be an easy win for us, but it never is as it's a local Derby. However if we are using this as a springboard for next year, we really need to win this well

Good enough squad to win this game but you never know against mogs. They also have a decent squad ready for this so it should be a decent game.

Wakey have switched off. Job done for them this season they've reached their max ambition and with Wakey personnel missing Cas should win this reasonably comfortably.

Done in first 40, shame we didn't risk Shenton for 20 mins really but dp has said he's not going to now.

Solomona is different class atm, if chase keeps his head right in the off season he could get to be as good as he was, springer is a monster when he plays with confidence, and gale made wakey look like under 9s when he went at them.

Pity we weren't consistent this season, the way we are playing now its a case of couldashouldawoulda.

There's only injuries that have held Cas back this season IMO.

Taking their foot of the gas nearly helped shakey make it look respectable

Great result for us, puts Catalan under pressure now playing Warrington today. We could still get 5th!

I'm really confident for next year if we can stay relatively injury free that we could crack top 4 and challenge for CC
