Catalans and the Wind
Well we are in the hat ... probably on balance just deserved it in a game ruined as a spectacle by the wind as the Galpharm stands swirled the air every high ball was a lottery and even the long cut out pass was a none starter. Think as a crowd we were a bit unforgiving still glad to get through it relatively unscathed as far as injuries concerned.

No doubt we will get Wire away in the next round still after that it should be a simple task to secure the CC Big Grin

Never confuse Motion with Action ...

RE: Catalans and the Wind
Yes I think that sums yesterday up well as there was mistakes by both sides in windy conditions. some fans did seem to be a bit thoughtless for the players that were playing particularly against the wind and either made poor kicks, passes, or knocked on in conditions that were not suitable for quality rugby.
Anyone at the game would know that even keeping your feet walking to the turnstiles at the ground was at times. difficult.
It was always going to be a game dominated by both sets of forwards in which fortunately ours came out on top.
Through to the next round not a assured of any easy ties now, but i'll be happy with a home tie against whoever.

RE: Catalans and the Wind
As you say a few errors made by both sides, I dont think anybody had a particularly bad game (allowing for conditions) but yet again as a whole side we seemed to be lacking intensity. Its almost as if the giants play at the speed their opposition sets out on rather than playing how we know they are capable of playing. Yes it was not a day for throwing the ball around, but our linespeed was nothing like what it can be - I think we deserved the win but the score flattered us.

the future's bright - the future is claret and gold.
