i thought there was laws governing the price of taxis, e.g Tarrifs?

I wouldnt be going to any festivals next year if i could afford it any way. Sonisphere has RHCP headlining :/ which after last years headliners Big 4, Biffy Clyro, Slipknot (rain plus heavy metal = best ever concert ever) is a bit of a let down. Not a fan of Sabbath. So meh maybe 2013. Waiting for a repeat of Download 2009.

So if the counci sets the rate for each tarrif are you saying that when the teaxi drivers collect or deliver to creamfields they change the tarrif (e.g from tarrif 1 to tarriff2)? I believe there are 4 tarrifs (99% of taxi fares are worked out by an in car machine now)

i'll happily admit you know more about taxi tarrifs than me, its not something ive ever had the desire to look into to be honest, however having had the pleasure to use taxis on more than one occasion and having been blessed with the senses of sight and sound and an IQ above that of a retard I am also able to understand that there are differant tarrifs for differang occasions, e.g bank holiday, unsociable hours etc? I assume thats correct.

So the council sets the rate for each tarrif, the council will also say when each tarrif is to be used? Is that correct.

So the only way taxis can charge more is to change the tarrif, e.g from tarrif 1 to tarrif 2? Is this in itself not illegal?

so wolfie....lets get this right, you say creamfield is crap because of the over priced taxis, however ive been the last 7 years and the prices have been no different to those in chester or leeds?

i'm with you now wolfie, so they dont charge more than they should as they prob lose there liscence for trying to change to the incorrect (higher) tarrif ( would the system even allow them to change it?) ,they just try to short change people, say wrong amount etc. If your on the ball, you wont get ripped off, the taxi wont cost you more, or if you have a decent taxi driver of course, you will pay the correct amount, so they are only a rip of if you let them be.

i got the taxi from chester and as westy has said, you are only thick if you manage to get swindled by a taxi. which probably explains your comments as regards taxi drivers.

so is this the only reason you have for creamfields being a crap festival, because warrington taxis should be 50p cheaper? lolzilla
