I thought that the scorline flattered us a bit, although I was pleased to see us come strong at the end, which has been a major problem for Wids so far. But realistically, it was only because Roby let himself down by getting a pointless yellow card.

Three of the Saints tries were down to shocking defending and the penalty count was silly again.

We can score points, but the defence needs to turn up for 80 minutes rather than 10 minute bursts.

I;m pleased though, we should win a few more games with that level of performance.

Looked very poor. I didn't go, I was so upset after Monday, I decided to be an armchair fan today.

If they can play like that every week, they'll pick up a few more wins along the way. I'm not talking them down, I just don't want to get carried away by a good come back. We did manage to break away a few times today, another pleasing aspect

How come, Widnes who have the worst defence in the game, can perform against Wigan who they beat, and Saints who they almost beat...Saints didnt play all that good for me, and Roby taking the walk,did help Widnes..I am glad that the game ended when it did, another 5 minutes could have told a different story..Just over 3000 for a derby and cup game is pathetic, at least 11000 will be at Langtree Park for the leadue game next weekend.

i agree frank, the only reason widnes got back into the game, is because saints totally dropped off and went down to 12 men.
some people find that hard to accept....

That may have been the case but that doesn't change the fact we shouldn't have dropped off and we need to be able to play with no roby/12 men without nearly giving away a game we were comfortably winning at one point.
