Yeah, free home tie, I'm not moaning. Wink

"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide."

Wonder how many of the ten thousand season ticket holders will PAY for this one..We then can judge the real fans

SAINTS fifth round Carnegie Challenge Cup tie against Oldham has been switched to Langtree Park.

The match will be played on Friday, April 27 with an 8pm kick off.

Oldham were drawn as the home team but today the clubs took the decision to switch the tie to St Helens because the 1,500 capacity Whitebank ground does not meet the required standards.

Admission prices have been slashed from normal Super League prices and are in line with usual Whitebank rates.

Adults: £14 seating; £12 standing; concessions, £12 seating, £10 standing; under-16s, £5 to sit or stand.

Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton said: “We hope our supporters understand that we are not allowed to play at Whitebank and that St Helens have been really good with us in working with us to maximise the occasion for the benefit of our club.

“It is a big opportunity for the Oldham club to get some money into the coffers and in the current economic climate it is an opportunity we have to try to maximise, as every other club would given the chance.

“With that in mind the admission prices bear no resemblance whatsoever to Super League prices and are similar to what we would normally charge at Whitebank for league games.

“By doing that and providing free transport for anyone who buys a ticket from the Roughyeds office we are doing our best to minimise any inconvenience caused by playing a home game at St Helens.

“Fans CAN pay on the night at the turnstiles, but by purchasing from us in advance they will get their free transport and it will help us to ensure that we have a big following over there to give the lads the support they deserve.

“I’ve seen the Langtree Park stadium this morning for the first time and it is absolutely magnificent.

"The dressing rooms are very similar to those at Wembley.

“I can’t stress too much how good Saints have been in trying to help us.

"They want to make it a great night for the Oldham club, players and fans, and we can play our part by getting over there in numbers.”

Makes a lot of sense and hopefully there will be a decent crowd so Oldham can get some much needed cash.
