RE: Steve Prescott
Fantastic effort, as ever from this absolute hero of human spirit.

"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide."

RE: Steve Prescott
Olympics is a load of b*llocks anyway. He deserves to be acknowledged, admired and loved by the people who know what he's truly about, and he's got that tenfold for his mammoth achievements and his insane amount of spirit and bottle. I don't think any sh*tty torch would change that, and that's what I like most about him.

I guess your right personally I think it's a disgrace that he doesn't get the national recognition he deserves. Look at Jane Tomlinson a fantastic woman just like Steve, yet somehow she and her cause are national heroes, yet Steve is barely know out side of the game. Wish the media would give him the attention he deserves

How many thousands of people where nominated to carry the torch? The vast majority of whom will have also done fantastic things.

They may not have raised the same amounts of money as Steve Prescott but that doesn't mean they don't deserve to be rewarded for what it is they have done.

It would have been great if he had been selected but IMO its not a big thing that he hasn't been.
