Three Scots sign for Hull Kingston Rovers
Three more Scottish youth players have joined the ranks of Hull Kingston Rovers Academy after signing terms with the Stobart Super League club yesterday.
Daryl Love 17 from Dennistoun, Glasgow, Derek McNeil 17 from Dennistoun, Glasgow and Louis Senter 18 from Tannochside North Lanarkshire all signed having impressed in February earlier this year following a two week trial with the East Hull Club. All three players come from Easterhouse Panthers Rugby League club and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of their predecessor David Scott with Hull K.R who left the Panthers to join Rovers last year and has impressed to secure a deal with the clubs Under 20 reserves. Daryl and Derek started playing Rugby League in the first year at their school Whitehill Secondary before joining Easterhouse Panthers at the ages of fourteen while Louis joined the Panthers at the earlier age of 10 years old. All three have the opportunity to play top flight academy Rugby League with Hull Kingston Rovers and will be hoping to further impress the Coaching team and secure a longer term deal. RE: Three Scots sign for Hull Kingston Rovers
Cheers for that pal. As I said, great to see in principle - that is the basic principle of signing Scottish lads who want to play rugby league, but whether they are good enough in truth is to be seen, and I suppose is down to how great a chance they get with KR.
"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide." |
