It would be a shame if they had to sell young talent at this stage, hopefully it doesn't get to the point where selling players is needed.

Well, you say that, and that's right, but when times are this hard, you've simply got to I think. I think they've got to look at it from the point of view of it 'only' being two players (if Whitehead goes as well); albeit good, young ones.

"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide."

I agree, just seems like a big loss for long term but if that means they survive it is the best option.

RE: Bradford to start selling players?
They've only got themselves to blame so if selling players is what it takes to keep the club going then that's what they have to do.

Any club who manages to get hold of Whitehead of Bateman will be getting a fantastic player and they are likely to be playing at a much higher level which is good for both of those players.

It's just a shame that the only good Bradford players are in the back row, because that's where Wigan have plenty of strength already. With plenty of cap space available Wigan could have been in for one of the Bradford players but not a forward.

Agree totally SUID. The priority for the Bulls must be to come through this sorry financial saga in control of their finances whereby any remaining debt is manageable. No player is bigger than the club regardless of sentiment. They may be in a position to replace some of these younger starlets with players received in a cash plus player exchange deal which may steady the ship prior to external funding partners / sponsors being sourced.

no worries, they are safe as regards franchises, at least for the next 5 and a half yrs, surely thats enough time to bring thru a few more youngsters??

Surely that are only safe for the next 2.5 years? Especially if they do go into administration then they could easily find themselves at risk.

i wouldnt have thought they are at risk for next time round. the admistration would be an issue if it happened near the licence time but if they are in and out if it quickstyle, then it wont be a problem.

Why would it be a shame? No one cared when they were picking the meat off the bones of wakefield and crusaders last season?

Clubs should cut their cloth accordingley and chairmen not get into who's got the biggest balls competitions to try get ones ober their nearest and dearest.

Chris Caisley is the man who caused Bradford's downfall with the Harris saga and now they're lettng him go back!!

Lunatics and Asylum spring to mind!

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible person... me.
