When Joel Tomkins signed for Saracans RU, Sam was picked for the Baba's and switched codes for a game, then was been tabbed by RU clubs. So the RFL brought this rule in so he would stay. Oh and give him a leading role on Sky Sports presenting and advertising, whoch he is rubbish at.

How does it benefit Wigan massively? At the time I think there were three other clubs who had more England players than Wigan.

It basically benefits the teams who produce players good enough to play for England, which is fair, because the salary cap makes it harder to keep them.

I like Sam Tomkins. He's a right pain in the arse but we'd all love him in our own team. I can see why he gets people's backs up a bit with his little niggles in the ruck and back-chatting officials but I find it amusing that he can wind so many people up so easily.

Fully agree AwayDays. He's the new Alex Murphy and if we're honest we would all want him in our team.
