Magic weekend a success...
...On one level- organisers had to order in emergency beer on Saturday as £180,000 was drunk-which included half in Sundays' allocation.
At bottom of here. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/rugby/view/25...ant-sweat/ the future's bright - the future is claret and gold. |

RE: Magic weekend a success...
I guess it depends on what slice of the beer money the RFL (or SL) got from the bar. I still question the value of Magic Weekends in general though. Isn't it just an exercise in the strong clubs being forced to share their gate takings with the weak clubs?
On another matter: Who owns SL? Is it the RFL? or a separate News Corp/RFL venture? WARNING: Farmduck posts may contain Sex scenes, Violence, Coarse Language, Nudity, Drug References and Adult Themes. Parental Guidance is recommended |

RE: Magic weekend a success...
As far as I am aware Farmo the RFL own SL.
As for the magic weekend no for me it hasn't been a success and never will be. 100% League,0% Union |

Just over 30,000 cheese-but the wire lot didn't hang around long. £4 a pint.

RE: Magic weekend a success...
I think it was 63,000 for the 2 days. Doesn't that just penalise the Hull teams - who would have got 15K to a derby in Humberside - and Wigan or Saints - who should have got 15K if they'd played at home? Of course, if you average the 63K over 7 games, this was London's biggest crowd this year - playing a French team in Manchester @?#?$?%?$?#?@
