RE: Catalans v Wigan
Correction, try was given!! Catalans 8-10 Wigan now.
On the radio Cheese. That last try seems to have puzzled Jack Dearden on radio Manc. Was apparently fairly clear that the ball wasn't grounded. Dudson back on the field for Wigan. Leuluai knocks on in a good position after a massive two man tackle Wigan not being sensible with the ball in hand. Mess up another chance with Leuluai trying to force a long pass to Charnley. Wigan let off the hook. Ball spilled from a kick close to the line but gathered by Carmont. Catalans on top at the moment and having the best chances. Wigan players out on their feet and struggling to build pressure when in possession. Wigan have a chance to run into some space but Carmont drops the ball. James Child says the ball was knocked out by a Catalans hand and Wigan get the scrum. Tomkins hit high and late by a swinging arm but the incident is only put on report. Sounded like a bad one. Tomkins down and dazed. Wigan almost score. Cross field kick to Gelling who gathers the ball only to drop it over the line. High shot now from Wigan. Lopini Paea given a right old whack around the chops and Catalans get a penalty that eases the pressure. Goulding makes a crucial intercept to save a possible try with Wigan under pressure and Catalans keeping the ball alive. Catalans then penalised and Wigan are let off. Wigan get head and feed at the scrum in a good position. Leuluai flies in for a tackle and forces a knock on. Wigan then get a penalty from the scrum. Tomkins then loses the ball but a penalty is given. Charnley scores in the corner! Wigan make the most of the pressure. Long looping pass from Sam Tomkins and Charnley does well to finish. Right before half time. Charnley misses the conversion, obviously. Catalans 8 Wigan 14 - Half time hooter (or air raid siren) goes. ![]() |

RE: Catalans 8 - 14 Wigan (Half Time)
Catalan Dragons - 8
Tries: Dureau -- Goals: Dureau 2 Wigan - 14 Tries: Tuson, Gelling, Charnley -- Goals: Charnley This could be the game where Charnley's rubbish goalkicking causes a real problem. It seems Wigan are struggling to create space out wide in the absence of Hock and Hansen as there are no big back row forwards to draw in extra defenders. Farrell and Tuson make up a very small back row and that's not ideal against a big pack. ![]() |

RE: Catalans 8 - 14 Wigan (Half Time)
Cheers LBA.
Second half under way. Charnley knocks on from kick off. Catalans scrum 10 metres out but great Wigan defence forces them into touch. Wigan get a penalty right in front of the sticks. Josh Charnley kicks the goal and Wigan lead 16-8. Wigan try!!! George Carmont gets on the end of some good quick passing!! Wigan lead 20 points to 8 with the conversion to come. Carmont with the try, Lima, O'Loughlin, Finch & Hughes with the quick passing in the build up. Charnley misses the conversion AGAIN!! Catalans make a break with Sa but the ball is knocked on, Carmont gathers and sends Tomkins free to roam the field looking for a gap. Sam Tomkins gets even after his high shot in the first half but it costs Wigan field position. Catalans penalty and they're right in front of the Wigan line. Leon Pryce knocks on after a shocking pass and Wigan get the head and feed 10 metres from their own line. Catalans guilty of some poor handling at the moment. Catalans Dragons have another excellent opportunity but Blanch is hit with a try saving tackle from Mossop. Catalans then caught in possession with another great Wigan tackle. Sounds like some excellent defence from Wigan during this game. Wigan score again! Kick in the air was caught by Jack Hughes who does brilliantly to get the ball to Carmont who strolls in for a try!! CHARNLEY MISSES THE FUCKING CONVERSION AGAIN THE STUPID PUBE HEADED BASTARD! Catalans get the ball back from the kick off and put Wigan under pressure immediately. Carmont makes a try saving tackle. Last tackle kick sent high but Tomkins takes it comfortably to snuff out the danger. Problems for Wigan. Gil Dudson down injured after a Catalans player lands awkwardly on his leg. Medical staff on the field along with a stretcher. ![]() |
