What is going on at Headingley?

4 losses out the last 5 league matches and outside the top 8 unlike Leeds, and don't start saying it is the coach as you won the title from 5th last season.

out of form and poor team selection i'm baffled we have 2 young hookers who played 1st team and did very well so we then loan them out and get in someone who is decent yes but no better than the 2 young ones who are out on loan our forwards are getting battered in every game and we have one of the best wingers in super league maybe the world who's centre refuses to pass to him and thats just the tip of the iceberg

our problems have caught up with us from around 4-5 yrs ago.

from around 2007-2008 we should have been identifying areas of the team that needed improving and bringing in a

quality player to fill the gap.one player a year would have left us far better off now.

buderus apart ,haw many top quality signings have we made in the last 3 - 4 yrs ?

the problem now is age + the fact nobody seems to get dropped after a series of shite performances has caught up

with us and their are a lot of gaps to fill.we won't be getting any decent aussies as they are tied up with big fat

contracts now which super league clubs cannot match.

its alright hetherington saying he may bring in new players but where are they going to come from,unless we offer

record breaking money sl clubs are not going to sell their best players to us and hetherington is too tight to do that.

Losing buderus wasnt a problem. Mcdermott said we had one of the best hookers coming through in mcshane. Lmao.

No senior, no buderus and a team with plenty of its key members losing another yard every season means a downward curve in fortunes. Pretty simple really.

I have been pointing this out all season only to be mocked by fellow leeds fans who funnily enough have now come around to my way of thinking. All i got was 'we won from 5th last year, we are world champions, we are still in cup so therefore we must be the greatest team that ever lived' lol. It didnt matter we have been playing shit all season apart from maybe 3 games where we have looked ok. I even had my status as a leeds fan questioned because i dared say that we werent capable of winning anything else this year.

Too many fans were looking at the results rather than performances early on. It was obvious that if we kept playing shit we would start losing.

to be fair trin i had this arguement with 2 lads i sometimes go to matches with in a pub in harrow before the fiasco against wire at wembley 2 seasons a go and i said the same thing then.but i also didn't think things would come to a head quite so quickly.
the only thing which may go in the rhinos favour is that we have already played most of the top sides twice already so they may scrape home in the top 8.
i cannot see past wigan this year, after playing wigan and wire successive weeks i think wigan are miles ahead of wire.

People say the problem is the team etc, but this was the team that beat Manly, that has beat Wire and Catalan, and we were only a bit off Wigan when getting beat 20-6 earlier in the year, the players seem to be there, but for what ever reason they aint performing

we look tired and need new blood to wake everyone up. im sure the players are always giving 100% but they arent playing as a team. unable to build pressure, giving hugs instead of takling, allowing too many offloads and crap disciplin loose games.

There you go. Those 3 games were acceptable out of how many? Tatty, your memory must be on the wain, wigan away was pretty one sided. They bullied us all over the place for 80 minutes that night. You can give examples of good performances for most sides, even widnes beat wigan but it doesnt mean widnes fans should expect to be challenging up the top end because of one good performance. If we had looked exceptional for say 8 or 9 games on the trot at the beginning of the season then i may accept your point more but 3 games out of god knows how many isnt good enough all round.

This was the argument earlier in the season when i said all was not well and got slated for it. All i got back was 'we beat manly/catalan/wire so we are ok' etc. Even trin can probably give us 3 games where wakey looked good.
