He has been pretty good from what I have seen. His positioning is good, kick returns are good, general defensive qualities are up there. He's done well at Hull.

Looks as though Wigan will be playing him towards the end of the season according to Wane. He spoke about Tomkins moving back to Stand-Off for a few rounds, to allow Matty Russel get some first team experience at Wigan.

Great running with the ball from kick returns when he catches the ball. Isn't great with kicks though and is too shallow in defence. If he doesn't improe under the high ball he will make a good centre
