More signings?
Castleford Tigers chief executive Richard Wright says more big name signings are in the pipeline following last week's unveiling of England International centre Michael Shenton as the club's first new recruit for next season.
Wright believes the signing of Shenton and the announcements to follow underline the Tigers' ambitions moving forward:
"The signing of Michael Shenton is the first of a number of quality recruits we have planned for next season."
"It is great that Michael has bought in to coming back to the Tigers despite plenty of other options on the table. For Michael to commit what will most likely be his best years to the club is a real sign that he has totally bought in to our ambitions for the future."
Regarding other new signings, Wright added:
"The aim is to secure an exciting long term backbone of a squad that will drive the club forward in the years ahead.
"We have agreed terms with another two players and are well down the track with a further two players that we believe will strengthen the squad considerably for next season."
-----------------------
Not sure who we've got lined up? the only name i've seen is Webster but a 'long term backbone' seems to indicate a young halfback. Gives me hope that summat will be announced for Glass houghton, otherwise why would they sign when we're for the drop?

RE: More signings?
Greg Inglis, Jonathon Thurston, Kobe Bryant...oh, sorry, wrong club.

Seriously though, I heard Millward on Sky yesterday saying you've wrapped up a deal for a second specialist centre; so that could be Webster, or perhaps Gilmour (although, obviously, he's more of a utility these days).

"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide."

RE: More signings?
Webster is looking favourite atm, apparently he's looking brand new playing in this 9's tourny, we shall see?

As good as Watts is i'd be quite suprised if we go in for another young prop, its a place we're not doing too bad, gilmour has a good chance as we're probably offloading our backrowers.

If the Bulls want rid of Gale i'd be happy with that! Young dedicated S/H, England knight etc, could be a very good buy for us?

RE: More signings?
Rangi Chase has been reported to have signed with Wigan for over £500,000. Warrington have had a £400,000 deal turned down, and Hull FC (seem to be getting everyone) have entered an inquiry.

My mate is a Cas fan and he says Jake Webster, Sam Moa and Liam Watts are done deals. Also they approached Brett Finch and Willie Manu, but obviously theyre off else where ; weather these are true or not, Cas seem to be making a move for big names.
