Well, here's hoping anyway. Only 8 hours to go and I already feel sick. We can win, we should win, we must win, but, will we win? No, probably not. I've been watching Origin since it started and because of that, I know all great teams come to an end. Slater, Cronk and Smith are all 29 so maybe we only have to wait a few more years.

Please NSW win tonight so I don't have to wait. (Also win at Lang Park in 3 weeks.)

This is it Queso. To kick off proceedings tonight the match ball will be delivered by a dog in a helicopter. I guess they've modified the controls so the dog can drive the chopper with its paws but the potential for unintended consequences seems endless. The dog is apparently famous for tracking down a fugitive who had been hiding out in the bush for 7 years. They weren't ale to interview the dog for the pre-game show because it's a police dog and everything had to be cleared through the Police Media Office, blah, blah, blah.Damn bureaucrats and their red tape. We are assured that the dog is a Blues supporter but he comes from the Mid-North NSW Coast so he's probably "eligible" for Queensland.

The dog wouldn't give the ball up. They had to give him a stick to play with to get the ball off him.
