Wildcats new ground -
It would appear that the new ground for Wakefield Wildcats will get the go ahead next week after a planning inspector has has ruled that the land at Stanley can be taken out of green belt and used for commercial purpose.

Great news for the club,

I can stand the despair, It's the hope I can't bear.

RE: Wildcats new ground -
That is good news because Wakey badly need a new stadium but do they have the funds to build on or not and if they do it is good because it should then be here in the next 2/3 years

Good on them if it's all official. It's been a hell of a long time coming, though.

"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide."

Secretary of State is to make an announcement by the 19th june, article on Wakefield Express website today,
Once announced it will be a poke in the eye for Leeds Council who caused all the delays by objecting to something that does not concern them, apart from their plans to build across the motorway from the development.
As for funding, that is covered by York Court Properties plans for site development.

As I said, good news for Wakefield.

I can stand the despair, It's the hope I can't bear.

RE: Wildcats new ground -
and it will be called the emperor stadium and everyone will wear new clothes and stand in awe. The emperor stadium will be built by magic elves and only be able to be seen by those who truely believe it is there and only if you wear pink glasses sort of rose tinted. The unbelivers will only see a field near the M62. I shall call it the field of shattered dreams. Or maybe the co-operative field of championship entitlememt.
