Jamie Soward
I'm not sure where he's heard it from but my dad seems to think that this lad is a big target for Wigan and may have already signed an extensive contract.
I don't watch NRL I only ever get around to watch the Origin clashes and that's not every one of them so I don't know of this lad. All I could do was look him up and on paper he doesn't seem bad however that doesn't always tell the full story. Anyone care to shed light on if Soward is a good player... okay player... or whatever? ----------------------------------------

RE: Jamie Soward
was trumpeted as the next best since since sliced cheese.....and we know how that turned out.
if wigan have money to spend...and it appears that they do, it would be better spent elsewhere.

RE: Jamie Soward
I don't know I tend to side with Cheese. I thought Origin I this year the Blues desperately missed Soward's dominance, especially with his kicking, but Carney's performance in Game II, particularly in tandem with Pearce, showed me they missed nothing, and at club level he has been fairly ordinary this season, in the little I've seen of him. I still think he'd be a fantastic Super League player though, and it would make sense for Wigan to sign him and pair him up with Smith. But whether it would make sense for Wigan to break the bank for him, I'm not so sure.
"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide." |

RE: Jamie Soward
He's the sort of player who I could see taking a long time to settle in Super League as many overseas players do. He'd have to be on a big contract just to tempt him over and that's a big risk right there. He's a talented player who hasn't really shown much form this year and then there's the one thing that makes me think he won't interest Shaun Wane; his defence is absolute crap. He'd be like Tim Smith all over again.

RE: Jamie Soward
i think hes been a disappointment this year. and if wigan are chucking money to get him, i suggest they would be better chucking it elsewhere.
