Good news in my opinion. Now that we all know, expect it to be confirmed by the club sometime around Christmas.

He's not a great halfback but he's still one of the best options available and he still has untapped potential. He's a good organiser with a strong kicking game, which is something that Wigan still need to improve on this year.

Now we just have to wait to see who will partner him in the halves. Could be Rangi Chase, Ben Roberts, Joe Mellor, Sam Powell or someone else who becomes available.

The Harlem Globetrotters are forming a rugby team in his honour, plucking the best of the best from both codes. He's captaining them, kicking goals for them and, of course, kicking 40/20s for fun. I've even heard he can do trick-shot 40/20s, where he does a cross-chop 40-metre punt; it's one of his Globetrotter exhibition tricks.
