Magic weekend idea

How's about this- folk have recently been bemoaning the fact that the derby games are being overplayed and it's unfair for teams to play other teams three times- how about the derby games only played at MW? Should improve gates if it's only chance to see them and would free up a week for exiles/internationals too.

Maybe but cancelling 1 derby home game for each team would reduce their average attendance and gate receipts so how does that work out as being a good idea?

Still not fair Jules if you have to play every other team twice, but your nearest team only once.
The only fair way is play each team on a home and away basis and use the MW for some other competition such as the last 16 in the Challenge Cup.

But Baldy, by that rationale, the play off system is unfair, as the highest placed team might not win. They might choke at home to Leeds, to pick an example entirely at random.And then never fucking shut up about it and still claim they are the champions.

As much as I love the MM concept if it was used to replace the good Friday game then I wouldn't support that. Good Friday is a highlight in the Calendar for most Saints and Wigan fans!
