The forgotten brother
Well I just had a thought, Joel isn't exactly making it huge over in Union as he set out to is he. I believe he's played once, feel free to correct me there.

Do you think that he would want to come back with growing frustration and if so would you have him back?

I think Joel signed as a work in progress, He was never goin to adapt to the game over night, I'm guessing next season they will blood him into the team more and then the year after he will be startin centre with Barritt and Farrell at 10

If someone was paying you twice as much money for doing a quarter of the work would you be begging to go back to your old job?

the future's bright - the future is claret and gold.

RE: The forgotten brother
Maybe mate, I'd hope so I always liked Joel don't want to see him just sitting down not getting involved.

And money isn't everything Jools.

it bloody well is when you only have a 15 year (ish) paid career.
i agree, it doesnt seem right for someone of his talent to sit around and do nothing, but at the end of the day he has to look out for number 1.

the other thing, i'm not sure i would want him at leeds now. how many good players have gone to union and come back as good players? i cannot think of a single one in recent history.

He is too good a player to not be used - he 'll be in the England team next year either at centre which they are sadly lacking or as a back row - would we have have him at wire ? Dead right we would a terrific player! one of the best around Union did not pay that amount to see him on the bench but i feel young Eastmond has had a wasted time down at Bath and would like to see him back in Rugby League although not scoring against us as he seemed to be able to do each time he played against us.

RE: The forgotten brother
How do you know Eastmonds time at Bath has been wasted? Hes in the same boat as Joel, its prob not as easy as some people think to switch from league to playing top tier union and its not like Joels moved to a club where he can walk into the team, hes gone to one of the biggest clubs in the league with one of the best centre combination in the league, give them time

never quite understood this nonsense about having to earn big money as the career is short. are they not allowed to work when they finish playing??

RE: The forgotten brother
Apparently so yeah, I rated Joel very highly... When he had his sensible cap on because one thing I don't miss is how many silly penalties he leaked.
