Potter to stay

Mick Potter has agreed to return to coach crisis-club Bradford for Sunday's Stobart Super League match against London Broncos. The former Catalan Dragons and St Helens head coach was one of 16 employees at the Bulls who were made redundant by administrator Brendan Guilfoyle on Monday as a cost-cutting measure. Potter had declined the chance to stay on in a voluntary capacity, though he has since had a change of heart, telling newly-appointed acting chief executive Gary Tasker that he was prepared to continue in the role without pay. Assistant coaches Francis Cummins and Lee St Hilaire will also be back at work when the Bradford players report for training on Thursday to prepare for the game against the Broncos at Odsal Stadium. "It's a great gesture from Mick and his team," said Tasker, who is also working for expenses only as a short-term replacement for Ryan Duckett. |

RE: Potter to stay
Great gesture by a good guy and to be fair, it's more than the Bulls deserve following the shoddy actions of the past week.
Good news for the players and the fans though |

I wouldnt call it a good gesture, he's only doing it cuz if this rumoured buy out of bradford takes place he'll be in with a shot of keeping the job full time

RE: Potter to stay
Good gesture in fairness. Certainly doesn't have to do it, especially given his reaction to the cheek of the board at offering him the deal first time around.
"'SUID'? Yes... That's what they used to call me. 'Saint Until I Die'. That was my name. I am The Swede. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide." |

Potter to stay
Gesture smesture, he's not going to get a job anywhere else right now so is putting himself in the shop window to either take over at "new Bradford" or London.

Bulls get what they want - seems fair enough to me whatever his motives. He could have done it for the lads, he must be friendly with them, he coached them or maybe he just doesn't want to work in Lidl like mrphillyc said |
