Told you so ......

McGoldrick set to pen FC deal to end of 2013
Thursday, July 05, 2012Hull Daily MailFollow
HULL FC are expected to announce the signing of Castleford utility man Ryan McGoldrick in the next 24 hours.
The 31-year-old Australian left the Tigers yesterday after having his transfer request accepted by the west Yorkshire club and is now set to sign with Hull before the weekend on a deal for this season and next.
Out of contract at the end of the campaign, the Tigers were not expected to offer McGoldrick the chance to extend his six-year stay.
That prompted Hull to speak to the player about a deal beginning in 2013, however after Hull asked about the possibility of McGoldrick arriving early to bolster their injury-hit squad the creative player who can play in the back-row, in the halves or at full-back, put in a transfer request which has been accepted.
Castleford's decision to allow McGoldrick to leave early opened a door for them to bring Hull half-back Jamie Ellis in early ahead of his switch at the end of the season.
Effectively swapping Ellis for McGoldrick, Hull are understood to be delighted with their business, which will see a vastly-experienced Super League player head to the KC Stadium.
It is unknown at this stage where Hull coach Peter Gentle will fit McGoldrick into his plans, however he could be asked to fill in at second-row with England international Danny Tickle set for a spell on the sidelines.
Tickle and prop Sam Moa were both named in the squad for tomorrow's game at Leeds, but the duo are understood to be facing lengthy spells on the sidelines.
One option for Gentle could be to use McGoldrick at full-back, allowing Richard Horne to switch back to his more familiar stand-off role.
Explaining his decision to leave the Tigers, McGoldrick says a chance to extend his stay in Super League was one he couldn't afford to miss and prompted his decision to ask to leave early.
He said: "Castleford has been a major part of my life for the last seven years and a main part of my playing career.
"In an ideal world I'd have liked this to continue for years to come but this isn't always possible and in 2013 we are moving in different directions.
"An opportunity has arisen which may help me continue my Super League career into the future and I have chosen to take it.
"I want to thank all of the fans for the last seven years and the club, staff and players that have made my time here thoroughly enjoyable.
"I wish everyone involved with the club all the best not only for the rest of the season but for years to come."
