Team for wakey?
Be interesting to see how PA plays this one. He has set up a "leadership group" that consists of brough, eorl, faiumu, grix, LOD and robbo. They need to decide between them who is wear the captains armband by Saturday.

Oh and trin- come and say hello- don't be shy! Will be in the ropewalk after the game- sadly can't make it before.
Go on- I DARE you.

RE: Team for wakey?
Brough should be captain , The obvious choice as he's the thinker in the team. Let earl get on with the sprint training that he's clearly been moonlighting at.

A 'leadership group' sounds to me like he's bowing to player pressure already. He needs to tell them play 100% for the full 80 or fuck off. They are after all payed a lot of money to do exactly that, a job which most any of us on this forum would have, at one time or another, loved to have done (with the exception of webbler who always wanted to be a balarina).

I think the leadership group could be smart-
if there are cliques within the team who did not see the player power thing and the dropping of Kevin the same way, if hes chosen those in the group from the different "factions" forcing them to work together to decide on a unifying figure might work well.

RE: Team for wakey?
you will never win anything with a team that doesn't get on. It takes a team of players that will dig-in and play for each other in big games. I see where your coming from he's trying something to build some bridges. But he will need to show some strong leadership if it doesn't come off. alex furgeson didn't win all that silverware by tiptoeing round his players.

RE: Team for wakey?
I think Brough is the clear choice. Crabtree seems a bit of a gentle giant. Not sure he's mouthy enough to be a captain, and he very rarely stays on the pitch for too long
