Chairman Issues Personal Apology To Fans
Huddersfield Giants Monday 9 Jul 2012 12:57pm
Huddersfield Giants chairman Ken Davy has issued a personal apology to fans following their defeat against Castleford Tigers.
Davy told the Huddersfield Examiner that everyone at the club is "bitterly disappointed" after the 52-6 defeat against the Tigers. He comments on how frustrating it is for the club to see itself slip from the top of the Super League and loose the last 7 out of 10 Super League matches.
"We are all bitterly disappointed with the performance (against Castleford) and I want to apologise personally to the supporters of Huddersfield Giants, An enormous amount of effort and resources have gone into building a successful club and a team that, only a few short weeks ago, was top of Super League.
"To have fallen away over the last six weeks or so has been incredibly frustrating for everyone, and I don't believe a team that was doing as well as it was can become a bad team in just a few weeks.
"We have some fantastic players and still the opportunity of an excellent season.
"Unfortunately, however, results like the one at Castleford do nothing to improve the confidence of anyone connected with the club, so I would like to reiterate my personal apology for this kind of performance."
