Eden Joins Long Term Giants List
Huddersfield Giants Tuesday 29 May 2012 1:41pm
Huddersfield Giants 21 year old full back Greg Eden has put pen to paper on an extended contract that will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2015 season.
The exciting prospect has played in sixteen of the clubs opening eighteen fixtures this season scoring eleven tries. He joins a growing list of young English players signed up long term to the Giants.
“Greg has received many plaudits in a relatively short period of time with us “said Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis “and he is a player that both Nathan Brown and Paul Anderson recommended that we move to tie up longer term sooner rather than later. I think all our supporters will be delighted that we have been able to finalise this and it is great to have his signature logged for the foreseeable future.”
Greg Eden was also delighted to extend his stay with the claret and gold:
“It’s all gone much better than I ever could have imagined really and to get such an early extension is great for me. My initial aim was just to get used to training full time and push for selection but now I really feel part of the side and think that we can really do something special this year.”
