Russell Returns to Wigan
Hull Fc Wednesday 18 Jul 2012 5:25pm
Hull FC have confirmed that young full back Matthew Russell has returned to parent club Wigan Warriors.
The 18-year-old has spent the last two months on loan at the KC Stadium making six appearances for the Black and Whites.
However, the arrival of experienced utility man Ryan McGoldrick and the return from injury of Richard Horne has meant his chances may now be limited in the first-team and he has now returned to Lancashire.
Hull FC's Director of Rugby, Shaun McRae, said, "We thank Matthew for his efforts whilst on loan with us where he has certainly impressed and showed us all why he is such a promising raw talent.
"He stepped into the side comfortably both on and off the field and showed he was very mature for his age. We wish him well on his return to Wigan."
