Rhinos Name Strong Squad For Nines Finals Night

Rhinos Name Strong Squad For Nines Finals Night

Leeds Rhinos Monday 25 Jun 2012 8:08pm

Leeds Rhinos are hoping to go one better on Rugby League Nines Final night at Headingley Carnegie on Tuesday, 26th June, as they look to better their Plate Final win last season. The Rhinos have named a strong side after coming through their half of the group stage in second place, just one point behind Wakefield, who inflicted the only defeat of the league stage on the Rhinos in the last Festival.

Six Stobart Super League clubs - Hull Kingston Rovers, Leeds Rhinos, London Broncos, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors - plus Co-operative Championship champions Featherstone Rovers and a combined Cumbria team will all battle it out after successfully negotiating the group stages.

The Rhinos team includes three players who have played in the first team this season along with German international Jimmy Keinhorst, Welsh internationals Ollie Olds and Jack Pring and Rugby Union convert Curtis Wilson. The team first teamers are Lee Smith, Liam Hood, Brad Singleton. The Rhinos Nines squad in full is:

1. Jimmy Watson
2. Jamel Chisholm
3. Jimmy Keinhorst
4. Lee Smith
5. Curtis Wilson
6. Luke Briscoe
7. Ollie Olds
8. Colton Roche
9. Liam Hood
10. Brad Singleton
11. Liam Suttcliffe
12. Alex Foster
13. Aaron Brown
14. Jack Pring
15. James Duckworth
16. Josh Sunley
17. Sean Casey
18. Thomas Minns

Rhinos winger Ben Jones-Bishop will be out for revenge in the contest to find Rugby League's Fastest Man. He lost out by the smallest of margins to former Academy team mate Jodie Broughton last year but he returns in 2012 looking to claim the title. He will be up against six other players and full time referee Thierry Alibert in the 90 metre race that will take place before the Finals on the night.

Buy tickets for the 2012 Rugby League 9s Finals Night at Headingley Carnegie Stadium now and you will receive another absolutely free of charge. This BOGOF offer is for pre-purchased tickets only and will not be available on the day of the game: all complimentary tickets issued will be of equal or lower value to those purchased. The 2 for 1 offer ends at 12noon on Tuesday 26th June.
