Chase charged with 'Striking in a reckless manner'

Two Super League players will face the RFL Disciplinary Committee tomorrow after being charged with offences in their teams’ Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth round ties last weekend.
Castleford Tigers stand-off Rangi Chase has been charged with the Grade C offence of striking Featherstone Rovers winger Tangi Ropati in a reckless manner in the 61stminute at the BigFellas Stadium on Saturday.
Catalan Dragons prop David Ferriol has been charged with the Grade A  offence of use of the knees on Hull KR’s Rhys Lovegrove in the 49thminute at Craven Park on Sunday.
Both players were charged after the incidents were viewed by the Match Review Panel. Neither player is eligible to take an early guilty plea.
The panel also issued formal cautions to the following players:
Graeme Horne (Hull KR) - dangerous contact in the 18thminute v Catalan Dragons.
Sam Latus (Hull KR) - kicking out in the tackle in the 70thminute v Catalan Dragons.
