Barrow ready to replace Wildcats
Garry Schofield says Barrow could replace Wakefield in Super League.
Speaking to The Guardian earlier today, the former Great Britain captain said:
"We all know Wakefield are in a bit of trouble at the moment, If they don't make it, and we were asked to come in at the last minute, I'm sure we would take on that challenge.
"I'm not saying we'd finish in the top six of the Super League or anything daft like that, but I'm sure we'd be competitive with the bottom six."
He also commented on certain other clubs and their distance from the majority of super league sides:
"That's what rugby league needs anyway, a team from Cumbria back in the Super League, because wherever else they try to expand the game ... there two and a half hours drive away".
