Matty Smith set to join Wigan Warriors

Salford City Reds head coach Phil Veivers is convinced that Matty Smith will be joining Wigan at the end of the season.

"I'm pretty sure it's a done deal. Well, I'm not pretty sure, I'm dead certain that's going to happen," he told BBC Radio Manchester.

Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester's 'Rugby League Extra' feature, Veivers continued:

"The way Wigan are playing, they're on top of the table and in the frame for every honour this year and you'd think they'd be there next year so you can understand why Matty would make that decision. He probably wants silverware."
