Keith Senior becomes full time Eagle

Friday 6 Mar 2015 4:04pm
Sheffield Eagles are delighted to announce that Keith Senior has now officially joined the club on a full-time basis.

The former Great Britain star re-joined the club at the start of last season as part of Mark Aston’s coaching staff, having previously served the Eagles with distinction as a player.

Keith began his career with Sheffield, playing an integral part of the 1998 Challenge Cup triumph.

He then went on to become a legend with Leeds Rhinos, and secure his status as one of the best centres Great Britain has ever produced.

He will continue to work alongside Mark Aston on the coaching staff, and also take a more active role in the day-to-day running of the club, including an increased involvement with the Include Foundation.

Eagles boss Aston said: “Keith will be continuing to coach with me, and will also work with the foundation as a motivator going into schools and other public appearances.

“It will be good for Keith to go into schools and tell them about how it all started for him at the Eagles to become one of the greatest centres in Great Britain’s history. It proves it can happen.

“He will also be going out to meet companies who could potentially come in and buy into the long term vision of Sheffield Eagles and rugby league in South Yorkshire.”
