Hock Fails in Ban Appeal
Wigan Warriors Wednesday 30 May 2012 9:18pm
Wigan forward Gareth Hock has lost his appeal against the two-match ban he received following his dismissal against St Helens on Sunday.
Hock, one of three players sent off by referee Ben Thaler following a brawl at a scrum, was given the suspension when he appeared in front of the Rugby Football League's discipinary panel on Tuesday night.
He then appealed against the severity of the sentence but the original decision was upheld and he was forced to surrender a £200 bond on top of a £300 fine.
Hock, who has been an ever-present up to now, will miss Friday's game with champions Leeds and Wigan's trip to Catalan Dragons the following Saturday.
